Kochkor is the small town and the important crossroad on the borders of 2 regions, where 3 highways meet and direct the tourists to their destinations. Travellers pass this town, on the way to Naryn, Issyk Kul or Suusamyr Valley. Kochkor itself is known for its felt producers, shepherds and farmers and some of the best handicraft masters can be found here. The town is surrounded by green pastures and farmlands, so it’s highly probable to meet the shepherds with their herds, wandering around the yurt camps.
