The Kyrgyz Republic is the emerging tourism destination, which becomes popular among global travel community. The service and infrastructure are in the process of development, but Kyrgyzstan already offers an interesting experience of each visitor.

Visa requirements

The citizens of following countries can enter Kyrgyzstan for tourism purposes for up to 60 days:

Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brunei, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United States of America and the Vatican.

Visa free regime is available for the citizens of following countries:

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Cuba, Malaysia (up to 30 days), Mongolia (up to 90 days), Turkey (up to 30 days), Ukraine (up to 90 days), Uzbekistan (up to 60 days) and Japan.

Currency exchange: Exchange offices are available in all regional centres of Kyrgyzstan. The US Dollar and EURO are the easiest currencies to exchange. Other currencies are exchanged in Bishkek.  The banknotes of 50 and 100 USD / EURO are exchanged for ‘full’ rate. Banknotes of lower nomination are exchanged for (approximately) lower rate – 5KGS per 1 USD/EURO lower.
